The Computational Society runs by the philosophy that learning is by design distinct from practice. One learns by reflecting on practice. The Computational Society enables such reflections. Specifically, the society:

1. Builds new knowledge to unravel the effects of computational technologies on our works, relationships, society, and self-growth. The Computational Society leverages the scientific knowledge from across various social science (e.g. economics) and natural science (e.g. Physics) domains.
2. Enables dissemination of knowledge, by creating content that is specific to certain ecosystems. With the computational age driving change in many ecosystems, such as politics, hospitals, judiciary, universities, etc., The Computational Society develops content to organize these ecosystems. Following the philosophy, The Computational Society offers various scholarships and special membership plans.
